Jewelry Care Tips

Here are some basic tips to take care of your pearl jewelry!

No Water

Do not wear your pearls in a pool, bath, sauna or shower. Pearl jewelry should never be submerged in water. Keep in mind pearls mounted on rings/earrings are glued to a post. Even though water won't destroy the pearls, it will dissolve the glue ultimately causing risk of loss.

Handle with Care

NEVER use ordinary household products (ie. vinegar, ammonia, bleach, rubbing alcohol or nail-polish remover) to clean your pearls. These products contain chemicals that will erode your pearls. Pearls are organic and sensitive to many types of products.

Store Properly

Properly storing when you’re not wearing them will help ensure the longevity and beauty of your precious pearls. Safely store jewelry in a storage box lined with fabric such as felt, velvet, cotton or satin.
